The Project

This project has been 2 years in the making and because of my passion of all types and forms of music, the resulting song writing consists of a wide variety of musical content, from orchestral compositions to progressive rock music, from pop ballads to dance music, but all with a spiritual lyrical content. I have therefore decided to segregate the different genres of music onto 5 different albums.

  • THE SUPPLICATA - The Supplicata is a set of modern prayers written by Richard Birch, influenced by the 15 most prayed about subjects in our world today, beautifully narrated by the soothing voice of TV presenter Charles Foster, to the calming textures of the orchestral and electronic musical compositions of Richard Birch. An Instrumental version of the same CD is also now available. A beautifully illustrated book of the prayers has also now been completed.
  • GLAD TO BE ALIVE - A collection of 12 original, rock based, praise and worship songs. Written, sung and produced by Richard Birch
  • AGAIN AND AGAIN - A collection of 12 original praise and worship songs, in various musical styles. Written, sung and produced by Richard Birch.
  • HOLY ANTHEMS - A collection of 11 original new modern trance/dance spiritual songs. Written and produced by Richard Birch featuring Sheila Gott on vocals
  • FROM THE BLUE SKY - A collection of 11 original Praise and Worship rock harmony songs, written and performed jointly by Richard Birch together with rock singer Simon Van Downham.

The Project Aim

  1. To use my music, not just for personal gain, but with a desire to provoke thought, through my lyrics, about the division, segregation and boundaries created in our societies around the world, by the misuse of power by religious and political groups. My one hope in life, is that, instead of wasting time pushing their beliefs and ideals onto an uninterested public, the leaders and followers of these groups will better spend their time integrating with each other, working towards a common goal of the only thing that really matters - Unity and Caring about others, especially for those who are less advantaged than ourselves.
  2. To take advantage of the opportunity to use this project to help raise money for several different Charities.

The initial target is a minimum of £100,000 over the next 2 years.
